Hello. Today I'd like to tell you something about my favourite sitcom How I met your mother. My presentation is made up of three parts.
At first I would like to say something about the production of the series. How I Met Your Mother is an American sitcom which is produced since september the nineteenth, 2005 for the TV network CBS. The show is created by Craig Thomas and Carter Bays, the two are also the producers and writers of the sitcom. The theme song to how i met your mother is part of „Hey Beautiful“ by the band the Solids, of which Bays and Thomas are members.The first 6 seasons was directed by Pamela Fryman. In total there are already eight seasons and 182 episodes. Every episode lasts about 22 minutes. The location is New York City and the series is included in the 20th Century Fox Studios in Los Angeles.
Now i would like to go on with the storyline and tell you what it is all about in the sitcom.
The starting situation of How I met your mother begins in the future when Ted Mosby in the year 2030, wants to tell his children in every detail how he met their mother. It all started in the year 2005 when Ted's best friend, Marshall Eriksen and his longtime girlfriend Lily Aldrin, got engaged after nine years of dating each other. At that moment, Ted realized that he had better get a move on if he, too, hopes to find true love. Helping him in his quest is their common friend Barney Stinson, a confirmed bachelor. When Ted meets Robin Scherbatsky,in their favourite bar mclarents, he's sure it's love at first sight, but destiny has something else in store. The series revolves around the lives of this five friends and the crazy events that they experience together.And in the background ultimately stands the question who will be the mother of the two children from the year 2030.
Next I´d like to take a look at the characters and their relationships to each other.
Let me start with the main character and the narrator of the series, Ted Mosby. Ted is played by the actor josh radnor.At the beginning of the series is ted an architect by profession, later he decided to teach architecture at a university. In his friendcircle he embodies the role of the intellectual part and he likes literature, wine and romantic. Marshall and Lily he met during his studies at the westleyan univertity, with those he later moved together to new york.
Let us continue with Ted´s best friend Marshall. Marshall played by jason segel. He is from St. Cloud, Minnesota, and since college, where he has lived with Ted, whose best friend. There he met also his future wife Lily. Marshall is loving and caring and confident and extremely emotional. And he cares deeply for his family and friends.He is a lawyer by profession and works in the goliath national bank.
Let's continue with lily. Lily is the wife of Marshall and the best friend of Robin , as well as one of Ted's closest friends.She is played by Alyson Hannigan. She works as a kindergarten teacher and is also an amateur painter. Lily's properties include her shopping addiction and that she can`t keep any secrets to herself.To the end of the seventh Season marshall and lily get a son. They call him marvin.
Now we go on with my favorite character, Barney. Barney Stinson is an womanizer with endless, sometimes outrageous opinions and a foolproof way to meet woman.First he met Ted in MacLaren's pub. Since then, he has been a big part of the gang.He is played by Neil Patrick Harris. Barney works in an undefined position in the Goliath National Bank and one of Barney's trademarks is that he always wears suits, even in his free time. As you can read on my t shirt stands on it "suit up", this is one of his catchphrases, as well as“legendary“, thats also stand on my t`shirt.Because he is always saying „That's gonna be legen … wait for it … dary“. Otherwise barney likes drinking scotch whiskey and he loves Laser Tag.
Now we come to the last character namely Robin. She is played by Cobie Smulders.Robin comes from Canada and she works as an anchorwoman for the television channel metro news one.Robin likes to drink scotch, she smoke cigars and she can good handle with guns. When she was 16 years old, she was a well-known Canadian popstar with the artist name Robin Sparkles. Robin befriended the gang in the first season after an awkward date with Ted.In the course of time she becomes the best friend of lily. She had already an relationship with ted and also with barney.
That was now the last point of my presentation and so we come to the end.
