Hi, konnte jmd. bitte mein Text kurz schauen, ob Zusammenhänge klar zu sehen sind. Danke im Voraus

Nowadays, global warming and other environmental problems have made us all more environmentally conscious than we used to be 20 or even 10 years ago. This consensus has become so great and far reaching that the idea of going “green” has even found its way into big business. Green housing, green transportation, green living in general and all the needed accessories to realize it, all seem to be finding their way into the corporate world as the next big growth market. In fact, it is sure that the whole industry and the government that has sprung up around "green" in response to the threat of climate change is nothing more than a "phase", and that climate change is, in reality, an advertising ploy. There is definitely money to be made in the green sector. The goal is obviously to encourage public to continue to use products and support companies that cause environmental damage, in the belief that the problem is being “taken care of”. As same the political party has their own aim to sounds political attractive. They want to recycle all its trash not because it necessarily makes environmental or economic sense but because the goal of “zero waste”. It can be clearly seen by launching of nuclear power. Although, nuclear power may not produce greenhouse gases, but it is unacceptable in almost every other respect: environmentally, economically and in term of risks. It produces radioactive waste which is highly dangerous. Furthermore, if included in the overall bill, the cost of disposing the waste safely cancels out the cost benefits of cheap generation. Waste is an enormous problem. Because the cost of replacing computers, mobile phones and other gadgets is going down, and technology is going out of date more quickly, more and more devices are ending up in landfills. The amount of e-waste is rising three times faster than any other form of household waste and if it is not disposed of properly, toxic substances can leak out into the soil and water, harming the local environment and people’s health. Therefore, there is an acute action needed and the government should now behave in an environmentally responsible manner. They are capable to oblige people who create waste to clean up after themselves and ensure that the price of any product reflects the cost of disposing of it safely. That would help to signal which items are hardest to get rid of, giving consumers an incentive to buy goods that create less waste in the first place. Waste also presents an opportunity in a grander sense, as potential resource. The duty of government should be promoting firms who see a future in which things like household rubbish will provide the fuel for cars and homes, doing away with the need for dirty fossil fuels.

    Diversity in the USA

The core standards of America are founded, in principle, on the basis of its diversity, equality and versatility among citizens. Beginning with its Declaration of Independence, the United States distinguished itself from other modern nation-states by establishing a country of men who were different but equal. E Pluribus Unum was originally intended to be both a representation of the union of the thirteen colonies and an expression of the United States as a country formed by immigrants of many different backgrounds. Today, in the 21st century, many things have changed drastically.
In earlier times, people would forsake their homeland and moved to America for various reasons. From the first group of pilgrims that landed at Plymouth Rock, to the thousands that immigrate to America every year, they all believed in the same dream that the pilgrims had when they came to America. The American Dream was that no matter what their standard, racial, religious, or social background and beliefs were they could find wealth and happiness in America. And that they always have an opportunity to work hard in order to get to a higher position in life. Moreover, America has been like a melting pot in some ways, and a tossed salad in other ways. Each immigrant brought some of his homeland's culture with him, and some parts of his culture melt with others, and some stayed intact, like all of the different pieces of a salad.
But, in the past decade Terrorism has brought many issues concerning immigration to the forefront of American concerns. Many strict laws against immigration have been passed in order to slow the waves of immigration. Furthermore, in these 10 years America has lost much, in terms of lives, treasure and reputation. Most of all, perhaps, it has lost its illusions. One, that its home territory was invulnerable, beyond the reach of hostile foreigners, vanished on that terrible Day. But then in 2008, the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression caused the disappearing of another no less cherished illusion as well: the certainty that whatever happened in the world beyond, America was a place of infinite opportunity and ever-growing prosperity. Today’s generation in the USA has to start to realize that they may be the first in their country's history to not achieve the level of financial success that their parents did. Now, given the state of the economy and America's weakening global position, achieving personal wealth is no longer at the root of the American dream.

Hallo, Könntet ihr bitte mein Text durchschauen und eventuell mir vielleicht noch Verbesserungsvorschläge geben?

Discuss America’s role on the global stage in past and today

After World War II the USA was the richest country in the world as it had profited from wartime condition. Because it was isolated on its continent and secure between oceans, the USA emerged from the two World Wars relatively unharmed in comparison to its European allies. The United States stood at that time at the pinnacle of world power. During a 40-year reign as the leading western opponent of communism the US exerted its power often without worrying about what the world thought.

With new eras come new challenges such as terrorism, AIDS epidemic in Africa, forthcoming nuclear war and much more, too. Today’s interconnected world leaves less room for mistakes. Challenges that can’t be ignored are continuing problems in the Middle East like war in Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan??. Moreover, they need now to overcome their oil-dependence which is weakening large extently the position of the USA on a global stage. Furthermore, today the U.S. has to cope even with rapid industrialisation of China and India in order to maintain his strength in a globalised world. The urgent threats which are posed by North Korea and the potential for nuclear war between India and Pakistan, the US association with European has been more important in order to protect the world. As we know USA has always provided peace and freedom in to the world of which they have always been proud. Finally, since the terrorist attacks of September 11, the US has realized that military power alone is not enough to fight against the global terrorism. Even so that it is no longer invulnerable and they now need to cooperate with other states. At this critical time, the USA can no longer follow a policy of isolation because it is no longer possible to ignore what goes on the world today.

However, firstly, I would say that the success can be only obtained if the USA realizes that its power is limited. Most notably, America must avoid the arrogance which they had gained during the past years due to their great power in the world. Victory will require extensive international corporation in the intelligence, economic, diplomatic and humanitarian fields. It will require a network of corporation between the U.S. and its allies. Most importantly, the aim of the USA should be helping the world into a better place and not forcing them simply to adopt Americans views and policies.

    Advertising (Wirtschaftliche Aspekt)

We regularly hear people saying that advertising is a waste of money as it makes products more expensive because of the huge amounts spent on advertising them. Another criticism is also that it creates “false needs and desires” as well as persuades and manipulates people buying things they don’t usually require. As a result many people have now learnt to simply ignore these irrelevant advertisements. Whenever it is possible they purchase items in local business. These products may cost more in the short term but the pleasure they give and the durability compensate for this. Why then is adverting necessary in our consumerist society?

According to my opinion our free market economy business and trade cannot function without advertising. In today’s rather strained economy, most people – because not everyone can afford everything - are trying to save money and searching for the great bargain wherever possible. Without advertising these and other facts would not be imaginable. Likewise, if the advertisement wouldn’t exist many manufactures wouldn’t make any kind of effort to develop new products. Moreover, sellers wouldn’t focus on customer’s demand and desires.
However, due to advertising manufactures attempt to develop better products than their competitors. Thereby they try to enhance their company’s image to gain the trust of their customers. By designing new products, advertisement helps to sell products in larger quantities which on the one hand results in good sales figures and on the other hand stimulates the producers to drop their prices as well as providing better customers’ services than their opponents and promoting discounts. Thereby the benefits of a whole economy and of the consumers are ensured. If these goods and services weren’t sold, turnover was affected and if profits fell, jobs were lost and companies sometimes even went out of business which would even decrease the number of competitors within the economy.

Providing information is one of the main functions of advertising. Goods and services simply do not exist for us nor can they be bought by us until we are aware of them. In short, advertising is the pipeline of communication that connects buyers and sellers. In our consumerist society customers want to be informed about products in order to buy the most up-to-date one, especially from electronic industries, in which products are developed new constantly. Furthermore due to advertising they can easily compare prices quoted by different companies just as well they can compare the quality of the products.

To sum up, contrary to popular belief, items are not more expensive due to advertising. In fact, if there was no advertising there would be no mass production and no increasing volume of sales which would make goods far more expensive. The small ads in media are also essential for offering services, jobs and second-hand goods. Plus, many newspapers and TV channels couldn’t exist without the money they receive for advertisements.
Finally, we live in a consumerist society in which one of the most important leisure activities is shopping. It is significant that people purchase things in order to flourish economy. If there were no such things like advertising we would have to have a different kind of society in which people consumed less and led simpler lives.

Guten Tag; Ich würde mich über eine kurze Rückmeldung freuen :)

    Shopping habits

Shopping itself is a complicated task. It is the never-ending saga of trying to find the right article at the right price and at the right time. Now with that said, going shopping is amazing. Nothing is more thrilling than buying a new gadget or a new pair of shoes. Yes, this is a contradiction of thought.

On the one hand shopping is enjoyable and almost therapeutic. For example, if you didn’t have a good year or failed an exam or didn’t get the job you interviewed for. The positive effect of shopping gives you a feeling of fulfilment that makes you feel very good in general and even so it lets you forget your disappointment at the first place. The acquisition of a new item - be it clothing, shoes, accessories, even something for leisure time activity is exciting. It is super-addictive and it really can distract you from your current problems. Sometimes it isn’t that important whether you buy something or not. It is just a matter of being out of the house with friends or alone to get rid off the blues.
Of course, purchasing a new item provides temporary relief. It doesn’t solve the main issue which was making you upset in the beginning.

On the other hand shopping doesn’t work as a cure for everybody. If you are one of those people – I, personally, belong to them – who just start to sweat profusely and feel anxious when they see the crowds and would give their life to get out of the store, shopping can be frustrating and fatiguing for those. Maybe it is a girl thing. Lots of girls love shopping for clothes, purses, shoes and accessories. Window shopping is for example just made for them. They walk in and out of stores to see what they have. They try on clothes they have been looking for a long time. It is just the best entertainment for many of them.

Fortunately, now boys can take advantages of shopping, too, because of the advent of computers and the internet which has changed the way lots of things are done these days. Internet shopping is an example for this and while in days gone by shopping meant getting ready, going out to the local mall, fighting traffic, finding a parking spot, facing the terrible crowds and figuring out what you want to buy, which brand you want to get these days internet shopping can be done from within the comfort of your own home with a flurry of fingers on the keys.

All in all, I would say, although, shopping is the best way to get rid off your problems shopping should be done for necessities only and not for luxury items or for the latest styles or fads that you may never even use. These products often have a short life and are quickly replaced. Especially, don’t fall victim to the enjoyment that you’ve had shopping. Shopping could become a disorder when you do it too much and end up having bills not being paid.

    Online shopping versus Conventional shopping

In today’s rather strained economy, most people are trying to save money wherever possible. Consequently, people are now searching for the great bargain. The trick is knowing when and where to purchase. Moreover, in order to get your best deals, you will need to know where you can do comparison.
Internet is a platform where you easily accomplish comparison. If you want to save even more, you can sign up for the store’s mailing list, and use any coupons they may send you. Whereas in earlier times by shopping meant getting ready, going out to the local mall, trampling the high streets, facing the terrible crowds and going through a million aisles looking aimlessly for that one product these days internet shopping can be done from the comfort of your own home with just one click.

Online shopping is a convenient way of shopping, which many people enjoy the benefits it provides. It is an easy way to shop around and can be a great time saver. If you are interested in reading product reviews, getting the latest fashion updates, then the internet is an efficient podium. You can even discuss on the site about your impending purchase and get feedback from others whether the product is worth to buy or not. The Internet offers a wide choice to buyers as well as the different tastes and different attractive offers. In addition, the products come to you direct from the manufacturer or seller without middlemen involved which not only leads you to get cheap deals and better prices but also getting discounts that are given by the company. Furthermore, you can have advantage of buying things online that can’t be found in your area or the goods you find can be expensive in your location. As a result of internet you can purchase anywhere in the world and search endlessly for the best price for an item. And perhaps best of all, you don’t have to put up with poor customer service, queuing or jostling in stores and you can shop on your own time, not the stores’ shopping hours. And also the best part about shopping online is the fact that you get the things you want delivered right to you. If it's big, you don't have to worry about shoving in the trunk and hoping that it won't fall onto the road. True, you have to pay a shipping fee, but that's just a nominal charge.

On the other side most people are reluctant to internet shopping because of several fears and uncertainties. These fears and uncertainties include the inability to feel or try on clothes or the ease of use before buying it. Furthermore, the benefits from the immediacy of collecting the item at time of purchase which are the core benefits of buying in-store will be prevented due to internet shopping. An argument also could be made that shoppers have more fun by going to the mall with their friends, trying on clothes, testing products and getting opinions. To a large extent buying on internet you are basing a decision on a picture of the article and the information the website provides. There are also “bidding for products” websites, such as Ebay, where you can find items being sold by individuals where you aren’t guaranteed whether a description of a product is right or not. A dangerous thing about internet is the fact that there are also a number of reasons that people can be put off internet shopping like identity theft, transaction security, and privacy. The greatest pain of online shopping could be also the shipping process and its related shipping price and aggravating return policy through online shopping. It can be daunting to wait for five to seven business days. And even if you pay additional charges to have the product be shipped express, it doesn’t necessarily guarantee that the item will arrive when it says it will. Worst of all it can be if you get an article which you didn’t order at the first place; this will mean sending the product back for a replacement of returning.

All in all, I would say apart from these problems online shopping could be safer and more enjoyable if you follow a few precautions. For example if you buy items from Ebay, then make sure that the private seller has plenty of good feedback. Nowadays, the inability to feel the product or try on clothes is somewhat depleted with a tool called “My Virtual Model Inc”, which virtually allows online shoppers to try on clothes prior to purchase. Consumers can reduce the risk of identity theft and transaction insecurity by simply buying products from trusted retailers. The reputable companies also use encrypted systems that are designed to keep your privacy safe. The only thing I would not consider buying online is grocery products because of the short dated and reduced fresh food items.
