Kann mir bitte jemand meinen Vortrag korrigieren :)?

  • This quote was made by the anonymous british graffiti artist, political activist, film director and painter, Banksy Who is going to be the topic of my presentation today.

First at all who is BANKSY ?
-Banksy is one of our generation’s greatest artists..englands most wanted artists whose identity is unconfirmed, so nobody knows who he really is
-from sources, we now that his real name is Robert or Robin Banks
and According to author and graphic designer Tristan Manco Banksy was born in 1974 in Bristol, England
-He doesn't do interviews very often but he was interviewed in 2003 for the Guardian newspaper
the reporter described banksy as looking like a "cross between Jimmy Nail and Mike Skinner of the Streets" and turning up wearing scruffy casual jeans and t-shirt, silver chain and silver earring.
-Banksy has supposedly been photographed a few times but each photo appears to be a different person
in 2004 a Picture appeared in The Evening Standard Newspaper

    Robin Gunningham
-on the 12th of July 2008 The Daily Mail published an article were they claimed to have unmasked Banksy’s real name.
they believed Banksy to be one Robin Gunningham, a former public schoolboy
-it was a man named Scott Nurse who confirmed to The Daily Mail that the banksy could be Robin Gunningham
-Nurse was a former classmate of Gunningham and talked a lot about how good Banksy was at art.
-The Daily Mail subsequently sought to investigate the name 'Robin Gunningham' and were able to find records which showed that Gunningham had lived with an artist named Luke Egan
    - Mr Egan then denied that he knew anybody by the name of Gunningham before changing his story and admitting that he had indeed shared a house with him in the past. Daily Mail then claimed that they had asked Mr Egan whether or not he is denying that Gunningham was Banksy, with his apparent response being "Well, he wasn’t then.".
-the fact that no one can trace Robin Gunningham and similarities in the life of Banksy and Robin Gunningham gives the story more credibility
-dennoch it seems to be a lot of doubt about whether this Robin Gunningham really is Banksy of course the newspaper could have fabricated parts of the story
    Career
-Banksy's work was born out of the Bristol underground scene which involved collaborations between artists and musicians
-Banksy started as a freehand graffiti artist 1992–1994
-From the start he used stencils as elements of his freehand pieces
-By 2000 he had turned to the art of stenciling after realizing how much less time it took to complete a piece
-He mentions in his book, ‘Wall and Piece‘, that as he was starting to do graffiti that he was always too slow and was either caught or could never finish the art in the one sitting. So he devised a series of intricate stencils to minimise time and overlapping of the colour.
-He claims he changed to stencilling whilst he was hiding from the police.
