"Vereinfachen"

    Hallo Leute,

    Wir haben in der Schule im Englisch untericht folgende Aufgabe bekommen:

    "Vereinfache" folgende Inhaltsangabe. d.h. du must meist nur einzelne Wörter "vereinfachen"
    z.B. Two days ago we were in the T. park at 20 clock. ->We were in the park at 20 clock.

    Also sozusagen muss man es noch ein bischen kürzen und für einen nicht so guten Englisch schüler (Wie ich) verständlich machen.

    Hier der Text:

    Just two days before his marriage with Tracy Garner, Doug Billings, in the company of two friends: Phil Wenneck and Stu Price and Tracy's eccentric brother, Alan, head out to party in Vegas. Driving his father's Mercedez, they rent a pricey villa at Caesar's and head for the rooftop to have a good time. Three of them later wake up with a hangover, unable to recollect what exactly happened. With the villa in a wreck, they find that they have a baby in the closet, a grown tiger in the bathroom and Stu has a missing tooth and a hooker for a bride and Doug is missing. Hilarious chaos results as the trio head out to retrace their steps as well as try to locate Doug and bring him home in one piece before the wedding.

    Wörter die ich nicht kenne, wo durch verständlichere Wörter besser wären    :

    Sätze die ich kaum verstehe, wo durch verständlichere Sätze besser wären:

    1. Der ist sehr "unübersichtlich" zuviele Namen. Wäre besser wenn man da zwei oder Drei Sätze machen würde.
    2. Da komme ich garnicht mit was man damit sagen will.

    In keinem englischsprachigen land wird das 24h-System verwendet sondern immer das 12h-System.
    Bei Zeitangaben muss es o'clock heißen und nicht einfach nur clock.

    eccentric = exzentrisch, schrullig
    pricey = teuer, Adjektivbildung zum Substantiv price
    Rooftop ist ein Wort für Dach und zwar bezeichnet es "auf dem Dach".
    recollect = erinnern, sich ins Gedächtnis rufen
    hooker = Prostitutierte
    hilarious = zum schreien komisch
    retrace = nachvollziehen
    locate = auffinden, einen Ort ausfindig machen
    piece = Stück, in one piece = in einem Stück

    Hilft dir das beim letzten Satz?

    Kännst du von diesen genannten Wörter eben eine "vereinfacherung". Ein wort wo ich zum Beispiel eccentric "vereinfachen" kann?

    Ich sehe da zwar Möglichkeiten diese konfusen Sätze in mehrere einfache Hauptsätze zu zerlegen, aber beim Vokabular kann ich dir nicht helfen, denn ich weiß nicht welche Vokabeln du, oder andere, als einfacher empfinden könnten.

    Du nimmst dir den Satz und extrahierst die Aussagen daraus. Die Grundaussage des ersten Satzes ist zum Beispiel: Doug, Phil, Stu und Alan machen sich auf den Weg nach Las Vegas. Daraus kann man recht einfach einen Satz formen zum Beispiel: Doug, Phil, Stu, and Alan head for Vegas.
    Der erste Satz enthält außerdem noch weitere Informationen, zum Beispiel wer diese vier Personen sind, bzw den Hintergrund der Personen. Wenn diese Nebeninformationen dir wichtig erscheinen, dann kannst du aus jeder einzeln einen Satz formen. Zum Beispiel könnte man es wichtig finden, dass Doug in zwei Tagen heiraten wird: Doug is to be married in two days.

    Ich kann die Sätze zwar aufschreiben, aber ich werde es nicht tun. Da es sich um deine Aufgabe handelt biete ich dir zwar Erklärungen und Beispiele an und auch eine Korrektur, falls du deinen eigenen Versuch hier veröffentlichst, aber nichts darüber hinaus.

Finally, they try to find Dough that they make it in time for his wedding.

    Eine Zusammenfassung wird entweder in der Vergangenheit (selten und in der Schule meist tabu) oder in der Nichtvergangenheit (das ist die normale Form) erzählt. Wie auch immer man sich jedoch entscheidet, auf keinen Fall wechselt man mittem im Text.

    Oh und Doug ist doch hoffentlich kein Kuchen (dough = Teig).
