    Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was born at Mvezo in South Africa on 18 July 1918. He worked as lawyer after he had studied law. He is one of the most great human rights activists. For his decades-long fight against Apartheid, because of he was 27 years long as political prisoner under arrest, he is admired by people all over the world. Caused by his staying power and fighting spirit he provoked political changes in South Africa. With his determination he motivated the people also to protest and stand up for their rights, so that the oppression of the black people in South Africa came to an end. From 1994 until 1999 he was accepted as the first democratically elected State President of South Africa and respected as an idol. His actions was honored 1993 with the Nobel Peace Prize.
