2. How has nature reacted to such treatment?
On account of the destruction of the nature, especially to the rain forest, die more and more animals. In fact of global warming, some places of the world have temperatures above 40 degrees Centigrade. Because of the lack of rain, there are more and more forests, which have already gone up in flames several times. Although you can see garbage, raw sewage and medical waste on many beaches.
3. What will happen if nothing is done about this serious situation?
If the temperatures increase of 2 to 6 degrees Centigrade in the next fifty years, the oceans will go up by several meters. Because of that coastal areas and ruining huge parts of farmland are flooded. Also could changing weather conditions, make large areas infertile and uninhabitable.
4. Why does the author say that humanity is at war right now?
He calls it a war for survival. He thinks that all nations must work together, because the problems are global. The causes and the effects of the problems must be attacked. A mobilization of political will and an international cooperation are important to battle against the global problems of environment.
