Did we need stricter immigration laws and though border controls?
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am glad to be here with you and it is a pleasure for me to speak in front of you. Today we will discuss if we need stricter immigration laws and tough border controls. Do you thing we need? Think of a murderer from Italy left the prison 2 days ago and comes to us and want to live here. According to our laws he is allowed but wouldn’t you afraid of that he kill somebody again? I thing we should change and reinforce our laws! It is too easy for criminal, dangerous People how lives in the European Union to change their place of residence. Stricter controls by the registry office could help to protect our insecurity. This could help also to remedy the problems when the number of immigrations is too high. With stricter laws the number of immigrants would decrease. In 2008 nineteen per cent of the people living in Germany had a migration background. Germany represents a typical immigration country in the European Union. But I have to say that we are in a certain way dependent on the immigrants. Germany needs qualified workers. In our days the immigrants are a stable component of the economically active population with considerable proportion of 20 percent on the total employment. But we have to control that they do. Our language is endangered by for example the Turkish people in our big metropolis like Berlin, Bremen, Köln. In Berlin 3 of 4 Turkish pupils didn’t reached a secondary school level and only 3 percent reached a graduate degree! This statistic says more than 1000 words. But in my Opinion we could remove these Problems. Not with stricter laws but maybe with laws with save our german language. We need a fair integration politic with equal social opportunities, education and self-determination, based on the german rights. So it is a face that many problems are not the effect of the laws but rather the political system in Germany. For example if there are more youth institute in cities, the young people didn’t do so many troubles because they have activity whish educate oneself.
