    Torusim

Turkey and tourism are inseparable connected to each other.
It is the most favorite destination for German tourists and amongst the three most popular holiday destinations worldwide.
Surely everybody knows someone who already has been there.

Although there are many reasons for Turkey’s popularity as a travel destination, the main reason to me is its variety for the needs of every single visitor.

    For example:

    - There are beautiful beaches and sun all over the year for those who like to spend their holidays at the beach and tan themselves.

    - As a nature lover you can enjoy the areas around the black sea and the centre of the country.

    - Spoilt traveler can stay in various luxurious hotels.

    - There are lot of possibilities to work-out, such as tennis, skiing, mountaineering, rock climbing, hiking, cycling, hunting, sail boarding, diving, swimming and others.

-People who want to relax in their holidays can visit spas, therapeutic baths as well as all common medical rehabilitation

There is a particular "possibility" for every single type of traveler.
The efforts in Turkey increased for the tourism.
Because of that more hotels, motels, holiday-places and pensions were built in the last few years.
Turkey is because of its geographical position and its climatic conditions a perfect place for vacations.
Because of the problem with the Kurdish people many tourists became skeptical and decided to visit other countries.
A lot of stores especially in the tourism areas are opened longer at evenings.
Public authorities and other facilities in Mediterranean areas are mostly closed in the afternoons during the summer months.
Those summer months are defined every year by the regional office administration.
On the first day of religious celebrations the offices, stores and museums are closed.
On the day before the celebrations they work half-day.
Most Museums in Turkey are opened, except Mondays, daily.
For taking pictures and shooting films, the museums ask for extra charge, which relates to the admission charge.
Taking pictures of unofficial works is forbidden. If you want to film for public, one need an extra permission of the general direction of the museum.

The Hagia Sophia was a byzantine church. It was built by the emperor Justinian the first.

1453 ottomen , which conquered in the same year Istanbul, turned the church into a mosque and added four minatrets to the building.

Since 1934 the Hagia Sophia is a museum. It is 56 meter high and the construction of it needed 5 years.

The Sultan Ahmet Mosque is a favorite place for tourists, it is also called 'Blaue Moschee'.

Sultan Ahmet was the first who let built a mosque for his- own, therefore he mandated a pupil of Sinan, one of the most famous and important builders of his time. The instruction was to build a bigger, prettier and more important mosque then the Hagia Sophia.

The Sultan Ahmets Mosque is the only Mosque with six minarets in Istanbul.

Also a favorite place of tourists is the bazaar in Istanbul. over 4.000 stores offer all one can imagine like for instance jewelry, clothes and so on.

Otherwise there are still to view circa 500 mosques and the 'Bosporusbrücke', one of the most longest bridges of the world.
