The Strangers
John: Hello.
Susan: Hi John, (it/ to be) me, Susan. (you/ still/ doing) your homework?
John: No, thank goodness. I (just/ to sort out) some CDs.
Susan: Listen, (you/ to do) anything this evening.
John: Nothing special really. I (to collect) my dad from the station at half past six but (I/ not to do) anything after that. Why?
Susan: Well, (I/ to go) to aconcert at City Hall, you see; and(I/ to have) a spare ticket because Marion (not be able/ to come). I thought you might like to come instead.
John: Who (to play)?
Susan: You probably (not to know) them: "The Strangers"
John: Never heard of them! What kind of music (they/play)?
Susan: Mostly rock and pop, (I/ to think), and some techno. My brother Stephen saw them in London last month and he (to say) really good.
John: Hmm. I (really/ not to know). How much (the tickets/ to cost)?
Susan: Only 10 pounds. You (to be able to/ to afford) that! You (to earn) at least twice as much at Supersound every week!
John: OK! OK! What time (the concert/ to start)?
Susan: 8 o'clock. But we should try to get there by half past seven, so that we (to be able/ to get) decent places.
John: OK. (You/ to drive) or shall I?
Vielen Dank!!
